Conference Room AV Equipment — Buyer FAQ
These are the questions buyers ask most often before importing pop up table sockets, motorized monitor lifts, projector mounts and TV lifts. If your question is not here, send it to us and we will answer it in writing before you commit to an order.
Where can I buy conference room AV equipment wholesale?
Source pop up table sockets, motorized monitor lifts, projector mounts and TV lifts directly from the manufacturer rather than through a trading company. Boente has manufactured this equipment in Guangzhou since 2009, on a 20,000 m² site with five production lines and a dedicated R&D team. We supply both stock catalog models and OEM/ODM programmes. Buying factory-direct removes one margin layer and makes customization and spare-part supply simpler.
How do I verify that a Chinese AV equipment supplier is legitimate?
Five checks cover most of the risk. First, ask for the business licence and confirm that the registered company name matches the name on the bank account. Second, request a live video walkthrough of the production floor instead of accepting a photo set. Third, ask for the original CE and RoHS test reports and note which laboratory issued them. Fourth, check how long the supplier's domain and storefront have existed. Fifth, pay through a traceable channel — never to a personal account. A supplier that resists any of these checks should be treated as a risk.
Can I get samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes. Ask for a production sample that comes off the same line and uses the same materials as the bulk run, not a hand-assembled pre-production unit. Confirm the sample price and the courier cost in writing before paying. Keep the approved sample — it becomes the reference for the quality check before shipment.
What are the minimum order quantities?
Minimum order quantities depend on the outlet configuration, the finish and any branding. Standard catalog models are kept in stock and can be ordered in small quantities, while customized outlet layouts and finishes carry higher minimums. Send your specification and target quantity and we will confirm the exact MOQ for that build in writing.
What should I do if a bulk order arrives defective?
Document the problem before moving anything: photograph the cartons and the unit's batch or serial markings, count the affected pieces and send the findings within the agreed claim window. Agree in the contract, before production starts, what remedy applies — replacement parts, a credit note or a remake — and who pays the freight. With batch records on the production side, the affected run can be traced back to its process step.
Who handles customs and duties on imported AV equipment?
The importer of record is responsible for duties and import VAT; the supplier handles export clearance and the shipping documents. Ask for the HS code and a commercial invoice at the quotation stage so you can calculate landed cost before ordering rather than after the goods arrive.
What is the safest payment method for a first order?
Use a traceable method that leaves a written record — a bank transfer to the company account, or an escrow-style trade channel — and keep the first order small. Avoid payments to personal accounts, and avoid paying the full balance before the goods have passed the pre-shipment inspection.
How long do production and delivery take?
Container-quantity orders of standard models are typically delivered in about 15 days, and stock models ship sooner. Customized items need tooling and sample approval first, so the schedule is confirmed case by case. Always ask for a written production schedule alongside the quotation so the delivery date is part of the agreement rather than an assumption.
